Only when you open your mouth and speak, then Southerners know you're from somewhere else. They stare because they know the people which live around them and they don't know you. Naturally, they're curious.

haha.. where in bumblef**k did you land up at? sorry, sorry... :P
sounds like you are in an area that has less than 3 starbucks within a mile of you, that's never a good sign. i haven't seen a farmer.. or someone with army print in forever. but i'm sure i will have to this weekend when i go down to take care of my parents animals. it's so much fun to just people-watch! come up to buckhead if you're in the area and need to get away from the rural-ness for a bit. otherwise just slow down and enjoy life the way they do.. slow and easy..

Didn't you know it when a non down-Easterner moved to Boston - their different clothes, accent, etc. COME ON YOU ARE PUTTING US ON, RIGHT? Oh, by the way you are superior to all Southerners in all regards! Could it be because you wear Ivy League bullshit clothes after having been brainwashed by the left-wing intellectuals in Beantown? YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU FORCED THE SOUTH TO STAY IN THE UNION YOU DUMB FU8K. Move back, a**hole. You make it impossible for guys like me from the West to have a fighting chance of being accepted down there - who gave you the right to dictate fashion?

It Goes both ways, Southerners go up north and you start hearing people trying to talk with a southern accent. I believe it curiosity more than anything. it'll be OK when y'all figure out where you are. when in Rome...
