What one PF in the game right now has the ability to take over a game and get his team over the line individually. This is probably the deepest position in the league right now and there are plenty of big guns out there.

Dirk Nowitzki I would have to say. Nowitzki is the heart of the mavs by averaging 25.5 points and 9.5 rebounds — which may not be the best numbers he's had in his career, but taking a closer look, he is shooting .502 from the field, .905 from the free throw line and .423 from 3-point range, while averaging 3.4 assists — all of those are career bests.
In other words, he's shooting and scoring less, but with a much higher efficiency

Best PF I would choose is still Tim Duncan, based on his several championships. But based on individual athleticism, I would say Dirk Nowitzki over guys like Shawn Marion (even though Marion has slightly better individual stats), Kevin Garnett or Elton Brand. Again, I would base this on the track record of Nowitzki leading his team to the finals last year, over many of the other leading PFs, even Duncan. But it's very close. The PFs I am most intrigued by are Chris Bosh, Emeka Okafor and Carlos Boozer.

Dwight Howard, Chris Bosh - not quite. Not yet anyway.
Tim Duncan - most sound PF in the game today. He can take over a game in stretches, but needs to be fed inside to be effective, so he can't do it alone.
Dirk Nowitzki - the man can shoot! But can he truly dominate a game? Not without a great supporting cast. He can score, rebound, but he isn't really a defensive presence.
I would have to go with Kevin Garnett. KG can rebound, pass, score from inside out and hit the 3, block shots, almost everything you can think of! Unlike Duncan, he can work for his shot from the outside so he doesn't need a great feeder. Its a shame he doesn't have a great supporting cast, but I think every single win the T-wolves have had the past 10 seasons can be attributable to KG. And he is an ironman! No major injuries so night in, night out, he is THE MAN.

Dirk Nowitzki. The rest of the players on the teams aren't all that better than the players on the Lakers, so that should say a lot for how valuable Dirk is, and more importantly, how he can contribute to a team's winning.

Dirk Nowitzki. His game continues to expand. He can shoot the 3 better than any real big man in history, he can take the ball on the block and score against anyone, he can pass out of the double-team, he can take his man off the dribble and pull up, he can rebound, and he can shoot free throws. there is no one who does it like him

KG is the best !!!!!
For his size Elton Brand
Bosh is good too
Duncan No . He became a center when Robinson left the spurs.
D Howard is more of a center
Dirk doesn't have the defensive capabilities

nowitzki by far. he is very strong inside. he can shoot the three. he is second or third in the league in free throw %. he gets almost 10 boards a game plus he is the leader of the best team in basketball right now

I would rank:
1. Nowitzki - a match-up nightmare on offense, shoots from anywhere, hits free throws, underrated passer, although defensively not at the level of Duncan/Garnett yet
2. Duncan
3. Garnett

'the big fundamental' Duncan good inside and out, good passer, Dwight Howard great athletic ability, scoring and rebounding, Dirk unstoppable step back shot, wide array of offensive moves and good passer...these guys can and do take over games
