Sweetie, I don't know what to tell you. But I do know I would stay away from the depo shots. Myself, and every single person I know that got them had nothing but horrible side effects from it (especially massive weight gain). And it takes a long time to get out of your system if you ever stop taking it.....just screws ya up real bad! I have the same dilemma you do, but I choose pills to regulate my cycle and decrease menstrual symptoms. You just have to find a method/routine with them where you for sure won't forget! I have a hard time remembering, so I keep mine right on my bedside table by my clock. (and a bottled water) That way they're the first thing I see every morn. and the last before I go to bed. Also having a surprise baby boy last year gives me motivation to rememer!! :) I'm on YAZ, and never did I know a b/c pill could work this magic:....My periods are the same day every month, only lasting 1-2 days, and I have no cramping with them either! Sooo different than all others I've tried. I'm wondering why you are getting off the patch?

well i recommend the IUD

The intrauterine device (IUD) is a long-term birth control method. Unlike IUDs that were used in the 1970s, present-day IUDs are small, safe, and highly effective.1

An IUD is a small, T-shaped plastic device that is wrapped in copper or contains hormones. The IUD is inserted into your uterus by your health professional. A plastic string tied to the end of the IUD hangs down through the cervix into the vagina. You can check that the IUD is in place by feeling for this string. The string is also used by a health professional to remove the IUD.
Types of IUDs

* Levonorgestrel (LNg) IUD. The levonorgestrel (LNg) IUD, also known as Mirena, releases levonorgestrel, which is a form of progestin. The LNg IUD appears to be slightly more effective at preventing pregnancy than the copper IUD. Also, unlike other IUDs, it may decrease the risk of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID). The LNg IUD is effective for at least 5 years.
* Copper IUD. The most commonly used IUD is the Copper T 380-A. Copper wire is wound around the stem of the T-shaped IUD. The Copper T 380-A can stay in place for at least 10 years and is a highly effective form of contraception.

Try an IUD. Don't have to worry about it for a couple years...Check out this link for more infomation about the Mirena IUD. http://www.mirena-us.com/index.jsp

I wouldn't go for the Depo shot, it'll make you hormonal as f*ck and make you gain weight. There are very few side effects with the IUD I mentioned...

Try Nuva-Ring. It has the lowest dose of hormones and you can leave it for 3 weeks. You can't feel it and it works great.
