i suspect my younger brother is smoking pot. without going on in length, where do people buy weed from? and how much is it? i'm clean cut and i don't have much experience in this department but i need some background information that will help me understand before confronting my brother. i know smoking weed is prevalent so someone out there must know what i'm talking about.

People buy weed from dealers. Dealers buy weed from suppliers, who import it into the country and/or grow it themselves. Often the chain of dealers can be fairly long. Some people buy from dealers and sell to their friends, others end up becoming dealers themselves. In short, anyone could sell it.
The average price is roughly £15/$30 for a quarter ounce. The price depends on how friendly one is with a dealer, where you live (supply/demand) and how easy it is to get. It is generally cheaper in cities and built up areas, because it is easer to get.

First of all i must say that it is very likely that your neighbors smoke pot. Over 50 million Americans smoke pot at least once a month. When i was in school pot was all over the place as well as other harder drugs. Experimenting is just a normal part of life, he may be trying to fit in with friends and you should have a talk with him about it. I myself smoked pot all through high school and i never had a problem with it at all, but some spend to much time smoking and not enough time handling there business.

A pot dealer. ruffly $25 for a quarter ounce when last I checked which was quite a few years ago. I would encourage you to do some research before you assume it is such a terrible thing. Most research that has been done indicates it is much less worse for you than alchohol. Side effects after ruffly 20 yrs of daily use are an inability to concentrate on more than one task, forgetfullness, and uhmmm one other thing...seriously I cant remember.

most people get it from friends, or friends' dealers. i have no experience either, but i live in a rough neighborhood. it varies in price.
