Honestly, my advice is to stick with the breast. Why would you want to give your child formula when you can give your child breastmilk, anyway? Have you tasted (or even smelled) that stuff? And it's so expensive! I can't even imagine why you'd want to switch in the first place.
...and in response to another poster's answer... WHY would baby thank you ?!?

The main thing is to get your partner (or someone else) to give the baby the bottle. There is no way she's going to accept formula if she can smell your milk and there's no way you can get that smell off you until you stop breastfeeding!! It's really hard at first - I found it difficult to see someone else feeding my baby after I'd fed her exclusively for 6 months, but it has to be done.
Also try different temperatures as well as different formulas. When we first started introducing bottles of formula I was very concerned that it should be at body temperature as that was what she was used to, but in the end she had it at room temperature and we've never had to heat it since - which is a bonus!

Make the bottle of formula seem like the breast more at first and then less and less. Do this by using natural nipple bottles, mix milk and formula 70/30..50/50.. 30/70, changing it at his/her own pace. Try to warm formula evenly about the degree of body temp. These all worked for my daughter at 6 months she had a problem at first but after this she adapted well.

Its a hard transition sometimes...mine was at 6mos.
Mix breast milk and formula together if you can
Go to a soy formula, my son liked that better for some reason
Change the type of nipples you are using on the bottles or go to another bottle brand as some babies are finicky that way
www.babycenter.com and go to their message posting boards for some other peoples ideas on this

why change, it is almost time to break your baby from a bottle anyway. Try sippies and in a coulple of months you can introduce whole milk.
