if you only work from 7am-12pm do you need to take a 30 minute break?

Depends on your company policy and you state regulations but I would guess that if you are not working atleast six hours that you would not need to take a 30min break.

Anything over 6 hours is mandatory. Anything below is 15 minutes.

I WOULD NEED AT LEAST 180 MINUTE BREAK..
