I am sooo grumpy with him now. I know he forgives me. Does he think he is bad or does he know that it is just me? My cat seems to know that I'm pregnant, so I am hopeing the dog doesnt' think he is 'bad'

Did you every notice that if you have yelled at or even hit a dog, it still returns love to the person who was the source of it’s bad treatment. This does not come from stupidity.
It is because God has given dogs a deep compassionate understanding of human shortcomings.
A tolerant spirit dwells in the heart of dogs that ask only to be your true friend. He will understand your grumpiness.

Well I'm a person who has been living with dogs for many many years. Your dog knows that you're pregnant and grumpy. If you're hollering at your dog he believes (the dog) that you're mad at him. The same way with you if your husband or parents just started hollering at you; you will believe that you either said something wrong or that you have done something wrong:(

I doubt he understands that you are pregnant, exactly, but I'm sure he does know that you are different than usual. Your hormonal balance has changed, and with it, lots of things about your body change, including scent. I'm sure both your dog and your cat can sense such changes, as their sense of smell is MUCH better than ours.
Dogs are very forgiving creatures; just give him a little extra love, and all will be forgiven and forgotten :-)

its really strange cause i was gonna ask a similar question but thought i'd get stupid replies. im 17 weeks pregnant and have just moved in with my partner who has a golden retriever. whenever anyone comes into the house hes excitable and jumps etc, but lately with me hes not done that and if im lying in bed or sitting on the couch he'll come over and lie on my legs and not move and he doesnt do that with anyone and if my partner comes to kiss me or sit beside me etc, the dog just looks at him and refuses to move. my partner said the other night that he knew something was different and i dismissed it and thought it was daft but maybe he was right

pets just know stuff don't worry the dog does know your pregnant and things will get better
we just got a new puppy and she is different with me that she is with anyone in the house she barks at my kids and will come up and bit them to play she whines at me and licks

He doesn't know it's specifically because you are pregnant but he can tell you are in some kind of distress when you do it.
