Usually, yes. But not always. Do you really have to get burned twice in a raging fire to understand that playing with matches is a bad idea? Sometimes one experience is enough.

Not at all I'd say, more that its a must to only base ones opinion on ones experiences, for they speak the truth to you.

Anything else told to you by others is likely to be tainted by their own interpretation of events, or even outright lies.

By all means listen to other people and take into account what others say, but take it with a large pinch of salt.

As you get older, your experiences will grow and your views may change, never be afraid to admit you was once wrong, or that you might not know all the answers.

Anyone telling you to believe their views is right, just because they say so, is probably trying to pull the wool over your eyes, ask for proof they are right!

It ain't so just because everyone says it is, use your own mind to decide what is truth and what is fiction.

The question is too vauge to answer,for example;if I was hit by a car by crossing the street would i be wise to never cross the street agian.I think not,but by my one experience I would be more careful when crossing the street.

No, it is not, if that is all one has to form his opinion. It would be wiser for one, if he broadens his knowledge to include experiences of others.
