Go to the vet and get the drops you put on the animals on a monthly basis then let the poor things back in and all the fleas will soon be gone.

This happened with my cat. A neighbor moved and their fleas moved in with me and my cat. I'd treat the cat and bomb the house at the same time and everything would be okay until we had a very humid day or rain. Then all the flea eggs in my carpet would hatch and we were off on the same cycle again.

My vet sold me those drops (I don't think the OTC drops work as well) and said my flea problem should be over in 3 days. He was 100% right - I never saw another flea on my cat or in my house again. Your animals don't like having fleas sucking their blood out of them either.

Good luck.

there is no way , call your local exterminator.

I wouldn't subject my pets to incliment weather because of a flea issue. One need not hav epets to aquire a flea infestation.

by the way there is no such thing as a human flea. All products use in the pest control industry is enviromentaly safe, most contain an (IGR) insect growth regulator, which provides a total colony elimination.

Being the fact that they are a hard shelled insect, It may take up to 3 treatments before your situation could be rectified.

Skull is completely wrong. There is such thing as a human flea which prefers to feed on humans. It's called Pulex irritans. I encountered this irritating pest while I was vacationing in India. It's relatively uncommon in the U.S. except on farms. Fortunately, it sounds like you probably just have the common cat flea in your home.

I suggest getting the house professionally treated as soon as possible. Because of the baby, you're going to want to go away for a couple of days immediately after the treatment is done.
The only option I would suggest you try yourself is very labor intensive and time consuming. Get a bunch of boric acid powder. It is less toxic to humans and animals that table salt. Spread it all over your carpets, like carpet deodorizer powders. Then take a broom and scrub it into the carpet. Do this through the entire house. The fleas are living in the carpet, and possible cracks in wood flooring. As the fleas move around, they will get the boric acid on their bodies. They groom, like a cat will. They will ingest it, and it will kill them. It's a nasty stomach poison for all insects, but safe for us. This works pretty slow. It will take 3 weeks or more to get rid of all the fleas. You also need to get your pets to the vet and get them on some flea control.

well I think that perhaps you´ll have go to your GP or chemist and get some cream for your bite´s. then get someone to help either clean the house , or look after the baby whilst you clean it, A good idea would be to change your mattress, have all the carpet´s cleaned, and boilwash all towel´s and bed linnen BUT, I would have your GP look at your bite´s and let him tell you what is best for and how to go about having something done about the problem. Poor you like as if you need extra thing´s to do , you have enough with looking after yourself and your babay . GOOD LUCK

you would call professional exterminaters to get rid of the fleas, once and for all. it will be necessary for you to vacate until it is safe for baby to return. so if your parents or a friend can put you up for a day or two, that's the ticket.
