i have got an adapter but that is not working.CD player requires DC in .4.5V company is Atc.Here we have 220V in India.

The adapter I used came with the player.but it also NOT WORKING.

A lot of adapters have a history of not working well with certain devices. You should go to Radio Shack (or the India equivalent) and have them test the adapter right there in the store. That way you know it will work before purchasing the adapter.

may be ur adapter blown.
Get a new adapter from electronics shop near by you. Should not cost you more than Rs. 50 for good quality adapters. While buying make sure you take your old one along with you, it would be easy for shop-keeper to get best match.
