I have a 4 way netgear router of which two of us used to get internet from. I now am the only one connected to it. Does the router re-distribute the connection to just me or is it still split 4 ways?

Yes it does.

Sends everything out no matter what computer as 1 IP but inside the network you have ?.

? = How many computers are connected to router

Routers use NAT (Network Address Translation). The router is programmed to know what computer requested/sends out what data.

A router is used to direct internet traffic as needed to where it is needed only. If there is only one connection in a 4 port switch or router then the full bandwidth (size of your internet connection) is allocated to that one connection. When connecting multiple systems to the same device then the bandwidth is shared on an as needed basis. In other words if computer A and B are on the same router and only computer A is accessing the internet then A will have full bandwidth, if both A and B are surfing then the bandwidth is shared. When one of the computers is removed or turned off the the other will once again receive full bandwidth. Think of it as a traffic cop, if there are no cars coming from one direction, then the other direction gets full use of the intersection.
