oh, mindless g_man....

"seattle, it figures"

yeah we all sit around burning the flag with flame from our bongs while munching granola and singing joan baez tunes while we twirl our unbathed, filth-ridden bodies in our sweaty birkenstocks, then have secret cellar meetings to memorize "the communist manifesto"

get over yourself and learn about your own country, twerp.

Let's face it folks, the sooner we simply accept the fact that democracy doesn't work for, is not not believed in, conceptualized or wanted by some people on this planet, the better off we'll be! Forcing our beliefs on the world will be our ruin and the bottom line is money and profit.

No, its referred to as imperialism. the U. S. can call it what they prefer, yet once you invade a rustic and attempt to re-formulate their government ideals, it fairly is imperialism. evaluate if China desperate that considering the fact that Bush is a conflict criminal, we are going to invade, unfold communism, and each little thing would be ok. Whats the version? And we act like as quickly as we turn our heads and wave see you later to Iraq, the Islam international of the middle East is basically going to sit down down there and watch Iraq, a center region in the area, attempt to segregate itself from the encompassing international locations. we've led to a lots extra advantageous situation than we began out with, and for what reason? WMDs? i like how they attempt and state that we are triumphing the conflict now considering the fact that our surge/s have been effective. in case you define fulfillment as much less troops dieing than the month earlier, so help us God.

It's not going too well...

Sure, after the Shiites have killed off all the Sunnis, they might have a democracy where that one majority completely rules... I kinda think that's not much of a democracy.

As Putin said to Bush late last July when talking about Iraq, "We certainly would not want to have the same kind of democracy that they have in Iraq, quite honestly."

Democracy is not being embraced by many countries in the Middle East such as in Iraq because the people adhere to Islamic traditions and practices.

Yeah lets go back to the good ole days of putting our heads in the sand and hoping that everything will be better. Clinton did a good job at that . now we have his wife to carry on the legend.
If we do not confront the enemy , they will confront us. Freedom takes time to develop in a part of a world where they have never had it before. 6 years is nothing in the time those people have suffered. It is too bad that people like you do not have the stomach to see out Freedom.

How is it a democracy, when most of the people do not support the government?

At this point, it appears that neither the Shiites nor the Sunnis want the continued American occupation in their country; they want to fight it out, so that the victor wrests control of the government.

As you point out, our presense in Iraq does not necessarily make America safer.

Looks like he got a little taste of what our soldiers go through everyday. If I didn't know better I would have said this may wise him up, but there isn't anything that can cure evil. The evil that is Cheney.

Democracy through the barrel of a gun, not likely hard to use the name Dick Cheney in a sentence with the word democracy they just don't belong together.

I think he's receiving better treatment in Afghanistan instead of dodging political 'bombs' in Washington, DC. He's hanged his buddy, Libby out to dry. Shoots his other hunting buddy. His connections with this botched war-planning stinks to high heaven. Haliburton, oh my! Then he goes to the friendly confines of the Middle East. We reap what we sow, sir.

For decades Libs said we should fight to free the rest of the world.

I trusted Libs. Never again!
