The only thing you can be sure of is that you've asked yourself the question "what can I be sure of"

Rene Descartes (March 31, 1596) said it best, "Cogito Ergo Sum" I think therefore I am.

Beyond that essential truth all else can possibly be illusion.

As for belief, if the only thing that is certain is that the awarness of your thoughts proves your existance, then the only thing you CAN rationally believe in, is yourself.

That's not something someone else can tell you. You must sort out your own thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and beliefs and work it out from there. You can't really be sure of anything, but you can get a good idea.

you can't be sure of any thing, even the existence of God, everyone just try to find in himself / herself a reason for believing, but you can't have a concrete reason for it!
