Marriage is a piece of paper that is very important but most people dont take seriously. A partnership, is a commitment to you and your partner to do the best you can do for each other all the time. It means time and love and being there even when you wish you weren't. Its always knowing that you are loved and will be loved in return. A partnership is a commitment to love live and laugh and be together always and this is what marriage should be, our values have degraded as human beings, take it up a notch and know what you want in life and tell everone you know how much you appriciate it. Take care Heather

Not sure what you mean by that.
A marriage IS a partnership. You become a team. You stand by one another through the good times and the bad. You don't just bail out at the first sign of trouble.

Marriage is a covenant and partnership is a contract. Both imply committment on the part of the parties concerned.

Marriage is a committment made by two consenting adults. To be there for each other the rest of their lives, (no abuse tho). Partnership, is when two consenting adults say they will be there for each other for the rest of their lives (abuse-no), but can more easily walk away from the relationship, due to not having to go thru a divorce.

No matter how you look at it marriage IS a partnership, and God never said we needed a license or Preacher in order to be married in his eyes.

Marraige is a partnership. The only difference is that you are legally bound into this partnership and cannot withdraw after you had enough fun.
Both are equally good if you stick on to your commitments, and equally painful if you don't...

do you mean in same sex marriage?
I almost think partnership is better because the committment seems to not be voided as much.

Both should have the major ingredient unconditional love which emcompass everything that means loving in the purest sense. One you have a legal document and the other you don't.
