How can I remove mosquitoes in the back corner of my house? They are worse there than anywhere in my whole yard, sometimes they're even out during the middle of the day!

There is no standing water, just 2 big trees make it kind of dark.

Is there some sort of spray I can use to kill them? I'm not looking for something I put on myself, but something to put in the air to kill them. I plan on putting a workshop back there, but would like to get rid of the mosquitoes first.

Thanks!

Here's a link which answers this question pretty specifically. It all does point to SOME sort of standing water, if not in the lawn, from less obvious places, and how to find it. I am inclined to agree. Mosquitoes spend much of their life cycle reproducing and they must lay their eggs in water. I particularly like the idea of talking to your neighbors and seeing if they have any problems.

In addition to the info on this link, I would say to have your plumbing inspected in that area of the house, both inside and outside the building, checking for leaks or even extra moisture. I would also peek into the construction of the house, see if they are breeding from a pocket of water in wood, or between layers, or something like that. Easiest way to start looking is check for holes, or see if you can tell where they might be entering through cracks or whatever.

Do you have a garden that requires watering, do you have a hose or outdoor faucet?

The answer to your question is about repelling or killing them. You can get bug zappers that run on propane tanks. I don't know the cost. You do hear that zapping noise, you may not want this. You could even hang an electric one right where they seem to be worst, underneath the eave in that corner.

Don't forget to consult with an exterminator. They will know how to help you diagnose the problem.

I have found that putting a 'Bug Zapper' out at the back of our property to draw the mosquito's (and other flying pests) away from the house and 'Zapping' them has helped a lot. I also saw a documentary on TV last night that said mosquito eggs, even though they are laid at the edge of water, do somehow survive for an indefinite period of time without any moisture, then hatch almost instantly when they are re-hydrated. Maybe with the Zapper and spraying the area too you can keep them under control.

you should look at yet another breed. Sibes will run and not in any respect come back. you will lose her the 1st day you have her. that's an indicator of the breed. look up the Siberian Husky club of usa and be taught the breed. try this with any breed of canines your finding at. i do no longer think in leaving canines exterior and notably without fenced backyard by means of opportunity of having run over no remember how some distance contained in the rustic you reside. A canines can exchange into drawn to something working by using, keep on with it, and land up miles away formerly they additionally be attentive to what surpassed off. i want to advise you the two re-think of getting a canines, or re-think of leaving her exterior. canines are pets, no longer meant to be left contained in the chilly and warmth. Why get one if your no longer making plans on spending time along with her? Manda Panda You DO be attentive to that Sibes are contained in the working team?

bug zappers don't work, you either sprayed with a residual spray or you can get a skeeter vac they range in prices depending on the model you want.

The company I use is http://www.mosquitocontrolsystem.com there are other companies out there but here you'll get the best bang for the buck.

most likely you have standing water in your rain gutter and you can treat them areas with a product by the name of pre strike.

Tough one! I'd try raid and maybe one of those repellant candles that you see on the commercials on tv. Maybe they like the shade.
