How to you put a URL onto powerpoint?

I have Powerpoint '97...is it possible to put a URL onto Microsoft Powerpoint?

Yes. Enter the text as you normally would, then select it, then select the option to insert hyperlink. You may have to set the action so that when clicked, it goes to the web page.
