Is the "no white shoes after Labor Day" rule still in effect, or is that just antiquated?

You can wear whatever color you want, after Labor Day, white, green, yellow, pink.
It does not apply anymore, its an out-dated rule.

I love white in the winter. In the late 70`s I purchased a beautiful white linen pair of slacks and I paired with an Angora white sweater and off white shoes it was really pretty together and went to the most fashionable cocktail lounge in town on a Friday night with my husband I was 29 at the time. All eyes were on me... some said what is she thinking wearing white in November but my friends thought it was cool to wear white after labor day and to this day ladies in my town wear white after labor day. I did say off white shoes So i didn't throw all caution to the wind but you can. go for it girl

i love white shoes that rule i dont follow and yes it will look good in the snow

i think some people go by that rule- but i think it is a personal preference./
