Well, you cant really say what people are thinking to ask the questions. And i suspect your irritated by the question but theres just 2 reasons why they ask the said questions. First, they are dying or someone they know is dying and wants to give them the best of their remaining lives, another is just their curiousity running like wild horses. With all the occurences of the "signs", if there are such things, theyve come to think of the possibility of the end of the world thus giving them the nerve to think of the things they ought/should do to cherish the last days of their life..
