Three months ago, when I first started working out, I could barely benchpress a 10 and 5 on each side - about 75 lbs.
Now I can bench a plate and 10 - about 155 lbs.

Three months ago, I could barely squat 75 lbs.
Now I can squat 135 lbs.

Three months ago, I could barely bicep curl 25 lbs.
Now I can curl 45 lbs.

Is it normal to grow at this pace? I don't drink too many protein shakes. About once every alternate day, but I eat a lot.

PS I'm not really a fitness guy. I'm a musician and I weigh a 145 lbs.

Normal? Certainly.....in fact you are doing very well. If your basic goal is to get into good shape (tone up, develop strength, remain trim and feel health) you're on the right path. You mentioned that you weigh 145 lbs. but not your height. May I inquire about you height?

If you want to increase your over all energy level you might consider adding some form of aerobic exercises maybe 2 or 3 days a week. Jogging, swimming, cycling, etc. Assuming you are not doing them presently

Again....good job.

Yes, far and away your fastest gains will be the first time you start lifting weights seriously. If you do decide to become a "fitness guy" (lol), don't expect this rate of gains to continue. It gets a lot tougher!

It seems to me that three months of working out would produce those kind of results. I'd say that if you're not pumping up on enhancement drugs, then your body will progress normally, so don't sweat it. If it wasn't normal, you'd have injured yourself by now, I'd think. Good luck.

Yes pal it is normal and at good pace. Try to take some more protein may be in your diet or in drink.

Sounds normal. Your body is adapting to your constatnly increasing level of physical endurance(slowly increasing weight over time). Good for you!

what you eat has little to do with it, unless you only eat junk. the work out is the key, and yes you are doing just fine.
