Politics is a way of reducing freedoms that were given to the human individual at birth. It is the reduction of freedom and liberty or the fight to regain it! To some it's a game, as for me, I'd die for my beliefs! Every party is guilty of taking Natural Law rights and that is why I wouldn't vote for a Republican or Democrat. Contrary to belief, politics does not build efficient jobs, the competitve free market does(One of the reasons Africa is still so poor, aid won't help, economic freedom will). Politics does not protect my rights, the constitution use to do that but now politics has tried to limit that! Politics is BS, minimal government is all that is needed. Today politics runs rampant with hate words and controlling rich bastards! If you get rich in the private sector that means you had to deliver a good product that the customer wanted. To get rich in politics you have to deliver a good speech and have gotten votes. Ever noticed how both parties try to get stupid people to vote without ever studying both sides? It disgusts me! Friends will get friends to vote with little thought. To these people it is a game, to me? Before I ever do anything in politics I first understand that these policies will affect someone. By forcing some people to pay taxes the government knows that some won't pay and will go to jail for years, missing their children get raised, missing their wife. Some care about government in marriage and some actually believe that the war on drugs will stop drug use! Non of these people truly understand government inefficiencies and that is why our nation will go corrupt from the inside out. The reason that competitive markets were created was to give freedom and to force people to better society! Politics will destroy every hard labor ever produced! Politics will only get bigger and stronger making the people weaker and smaller! The people will never rule again! Because to have the people rule, it would take freedom and minimal government, NOT POLITICS, this is for the big government pushers on both aisles! ~ Libertarian

Politics is how the world is run. From a city to a nation to the world, or even in a business, politics is simply who gets what, where, when, and why. Politics is my field of study, and it may be my line of work in the near future. It is a dirty field, and yet it can be great work for mankind at the same time. It's more than just Democrat and Republican. It's getting health care fixed, it's creating jobs for the workforce, it's fighting for human rights, and politics can even be about that pesky homeowner's association and setting the rules of just how short the grass must be mowed.

Some people think "I have a say, I vote every four years and then the politicians do all the decision making and we should just trust what every they do because we elect them".
I DISAGREE.
The politicians remain accountable to the public and the will of the people they represent. Example: 85% of the Australian population is against the logging of rainforest yet it continues.
The whole community has a role to play in a democracy. This is participatory democracy where the community is part of the solution and works with government agencies and service providers to improve the quality of life for all.

Hi Jack,
Politics is all about apportioning things: Power, money, influence, etc. If that is the case, then the best definition of politics is...
"Politics is the process of who gets what, when, why, and how."
Hope this helps. Cheers, mate.

Class warfare... the super ultra-rich against the rest.
Aided by a purchased media industry that is more active in distracting and discouraging society into avoiding realities that greatly effect them... and until we keep the blinders off and keep them off, we will, in effect, deserve to be raped by the wealthy.
I hope this changes...
