what kind of hard drive is best to use with the ps2?

i have the disc to load the games onto a hard drive, but haven't got the hd yet...i don't want to buy one and it not be compatible with the connections.

I have the 3.0 version and it's supposed to work with a 200GB HD...

A Maxtor 120 GB is the best bet. The Maxtor Discs have the correct position for the IDE and power connector and since the HD loader can't access drives greater than 120 GB everything larger would be a waste of money.
