I'm aware that Topher Grace (Eric, from "That 70s Show") will be playing Venom in Spiderman 3. I mean, I kinda have studied Grace's acting through out his movies. And he's more of a nerdy-looking and dork, you know. Maybe he will act all tough on this film. Do you think so? Venom is indeed portrayed as a bada** mo' fo with a attitude. Don't you guys think that they should've gotten a build up actor (not that I have someone in mind who would). I just want your opinion. But I hope it works good at the end. I have nothing against Grace. He just looks puny, but fu** it.

Grace has the same phisique and appearance as Maguire so for me that is the thign that clinches it. Venom and Spider Man are foils and Grace looks similar to Maguire but he will have to show he is different.
He may look puny but remember that how Maguire look like at the beggining of Spider Man but training and nutrition improve his muscles. so Grace can do the same.

I agree, Topher's a good enough actor but doesn't fit the role of Venom. I mean Venom's supposed to be tough even before he gets the black space goo. My little sister could take Topher Grace. Plus, he looks to much like Toby Macguire. I'm afraid I'll get them confused. The two of them look like they should be Mathletes not superheros/villains.

What you said is true, but, Venom needs to be someone who looks a lot like Peter Parker. And lets face it, Tobey MacGuire looks like a nerd too. But he pulls off SpiderMan perfectly! So why can't Grace pull off Venom? You never know until you try. But the whole look-alike thing; that's why I think they specifcally chose him.

Usually they get pumped up for the roll ie get physical training. Toby McQuire was sort of puny at first too.Look on the bright side it could have been Ashton Kutcher or that dweeb who played Fez or even worse Nathan Lane.
