you would need to go to gsmworld.com then click on gsm roaming and then the gsm roaming maps... it tells u if there is gsm service in india.... i looked and there is alot of carriers in india that operate off mostly 900mhz and some are 1800.... you need to make sure u let your carrier know that you need the service to roam there or if u use another sim card from there u have to make sure the phone is unlocked.... if you want to see the actual coverage map in india just go to the web site above and then click on everything i told and you will see a list of carriers under the carriers name there will be a link for coverage map... it will show you how much coverage is for that carrier...

Yes, it will work in the US, Europe and Asia as long as your service roams internatinally.
if you wish to use a different SIM and you bought the phone from a US Operator then get it "unlocked" from them.

YES YES Its tri-band the only place that it will not work in is japan.
