I think it's funny that name gets lobbed at all Republicans as some sort of insult. I don't know of a single Rep that is honestly offended by that. Personally I think it makes the insulting person look a little hysterical. Why do Liberals think it is so offensive? I'd be more offended if someone called me a Liberal.
"Neo-conservatism is a term almost exclusively used by the enemies of America's liberation of Iraq. There is no "neo-conservative" movement in the United States. When there was one, it was made up of former Democrats who embraced the welfare state but supported Ronald Reagan's Cold War policies against the Soviet bloc. Today neo-conservatism identifies those who believe in an aggressive policy against radical Islam and the global terrorists." David Horowitz

Guitarman: That's part of what makes users of this word look so dumb. It has nothing to do with Nazi's. Liberals like to make that jump because if feels sort of like NeoNazi when it rolls of the tongue. I could care less how your tongue feels. Look here for the real meaning...

Watcher: If you had actually read the link you would know who David Horowitz is. You would also know that what you just said makes no sense.

Good question. People throw that term around on YA like it is going out of style. I just laugh when they use the term because I know what a neo-con is and I bet 90% of them do not. I also know the historical philisophical differences between a neoconservative and a conservative which I consider myself. Therefore, I do not get mad when someone uses it as a general term. It just shows their ignorance.

I am not offended by anything the liberals think is supposed to offend. Its very comical to see how low they will go, to avoid answering the question. On the other hand, every little truth offends liberals. Liberal Limbo--how low can you go

I'm more offended by how the neocons dragged us into a war under the guise of fighting terrorism, now our soldiers are fighting insurgents in the middle of a sectarian civil war. When are we going to actually begin fighting against terrorists? There are 'advisers' in the White House with the President's ear who are steering the disastrous course of this country, they are not liberals. Sounds like you're real proud of where you've taken us in this world.
If you're not offended by the neocon moniker then you must be proud of it, but you're not bothered by calling others liberal as if it were a bad thing?

So I read your crap link. It just tells us that the neo cons are libertarians. They claim to be different but both were founded by right wing Jews. You saw the names didn't you? By the way the names quoted were the founders of libertarianism. Read some more idiot. Also moron , your link tells us that neo cons were formed in the 1950s. (Right wing Jews have existed for eons).
Also who the f u c k is David Horowitz? I would think there are hundreds if not thousands of them in the world.
Your link says readers might be confused.
Well you have been well and truly sucked in by this David Horowitz bullshit. Neocons have been around long before Iraq and Libertarians even longer. Horowitz' job is to muddy the waters.
Once again I reiterate. Left wing Jews are intellectuals, right wing Jews are Capitalist Zionist scum.(Liars and frauds). That's who you support.
Edit
Nationalist, what a dope you are. Tell me something of value. Your Horowitz still has nothing of value to add to the debate. Right wing Jews only argue for their money grubbing ways. No intellect is involved in that.
By the way it's pretty easy to say that I make no sense without producing evidence. You are the one who makes no sense. That's your style isn't it?

The term in itself is not offensive. It's their philosophies, if you want to call them that, which are not only offensive but have proven disastrous for the USA.

Nah, it's actually kind of funny. Liberal don't have an argument, so they resort to screeching "NeoCon!" at anyone who disagrees with their policy of appeasement towards radical islam.
