I think the real question is: "Is a stapler a deadly weapon?"
The answer is no!
Do you have any idea how many staples it would take to kill a healthy adult!
Even if it was a large staple gun you'd be stapling them all day! I don't think the staples would reach the artieries!
Maybe if you were able to staple a person in their jugular veins and corotid arteries repeatedly and then removed the staples to allow them to bleed to death. But still... you'd have to keep re-stapling them!
I think for something to be considered a weapon, you have to have the person be able to defend themselves. That means they can't be bound, because then it would be considered an instrument (of torture). So that means you'd have to be good enough to staple them in the neck while they are dodging you and defending themselves, not an easy task!
No. A stapler is not a weapon- It's an instrument, a device or a tool.
The only thing that makes it a weapon is the heft of having something in your hand and that could be anything from a Halibut in a Hoagie or a Slug in a rug!

Depends on how you use it, but if you were in danger then it can be a weapon, almost anything can be a weapon.

Having once accidentally stapled my finger, yes, it could be. It hurts a lot, especially extracting the staple. High-powered staple guns could really hurt.
