A gift card to down load more music for her MP3 player. As for the portable DVD player you might want to get her a couple of movies. My 12 year old niece wanted shark tales for xmas. My 17 year old daughter has gone head over heals over some old disney movies she once used to watch. We purchased them again because we have a 2 year old. Check with the book store and see if you can put an order in for the next Harry Potter book it will be coming out this summer. If you can't get her that check to see if the sisterhood of the traveling pants would be okay with you to give to her. (Meeting your approval). It might spark interest in other authors.
If she likes charmed and potter, both which deals with Magik then you might want to go into a new age store and pick out some special stones having their meanings etc.

If she is 12, then she is growing up. I would say start to steer away from the books and dolls. You should start to give her things that are more grown up. They have nice clothes and underwear at Limited Too and victoria secret. I mean, I don't think sexy lingerie is appropiate. You know what I mean. Also stockings and tights included with a nice skirt and blouse or full dress would be a nice gift. You usually can't go wrong with shoes. She is obviously going to start to be interested in boys and going to want to dress nicer at school. I suggest to start to follow suit or she will rebel against you by 14. Also anything course they can take, like a boating course, EMT Course, etc will be beneficial to broadening your daughter's horizons and makaing her more well rounded. And ofcourse music cds that have anything to do with rap probably is a bad idea. Though its a main stream thing now,its mostly not a good influence. And if she does not have an IPOD now, I suggest you keep it that way. Thats my opinion.

My daughter will be 12 in a few months and the only thing she wants is her own cell phone. I am considering it, for safety and practical reasons. I would buy her the phone as her gift but she'll have to do chores to pay the extra $11 a month it will add to our family cell plan. We will all share minutes so she will have to learn to manage hers and I'll have strict limits to not use text messaging or do downloads. I think this is a good way to teach her responsibility and it's both a gift and something that she will continue to contribute to on her own. I know 12 seems young for a cell phone but even here in a little midwestern town, all the kids that age seem to have their own cell phones. Crazy isn't it? Good luck!

Maybe get her some things to pamper herself with. Bath and Body Works has some great deals going on with really yummy scents. My girls love it when I get them the shower gel and matching lotion. Or, how about a birthstone ring, necklace, or earrings? They are usually inexpensive and you could probably find this stuff at Walmart. I also, get my 14 year old a gift card for the mall. That way, she can pick out what she likes vs what I like. Sometimes our tastes differ. I have also given gift certificates to the movies. The kids love this too.

Hi, if you would like to give her a special gift , I will suggest u to gift her any books that tells smoothly about the positive and negatives of life .. Like in the way wat she could understand to her standard and can analyse upto her age limit......
So that she can think mature and she can have more confident than the others of her age group....

And will shine successful....

I think second season of charmed is a good choice provided she has the first. it is quite tame by todays standards and is quite suited to her age.

i would have given her harry potter movies, books or figurines rather than charmed, but its already done. why dont you get her a real book on wicca for beginners instead of all that ugly stuff in charmed.
