You know what, I have paid the debt, so that is not the issue anymore. But have you ever called there?? THE RUDEST PEOPLE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED! I kid you not, I was on the brink of tears (and I called 4 times!)

Were they always like this, or is it "*********" as a result of their sudden right to report our FULL PAYMENT HISTORY to the credit bureaus? That's right folks, don't even pay $1 short...it's on your credit report. And it goes to "negative history," after 60 days. They are reporting everything you pay, and when.

Signed,

PISSED AT DTE!

you are so true about that. About a month or so ago, they were picketing at the location downtown about this same issue. i never knew that they were doing this until I saw that story on the news. i looked at my credit report and it had sonething like 120 past due, and I knew that I had made a payment on it. Also one of my good friends got her income taxes taken from DTE. They are the worse! We need more companies in Michigan. And not just Consumer Energy. I hear that they are no better.

they are a pain to talk to. They are rude, too.

I also get pissed at Comcast. I live in St Clair County and they are the only cable company up here, unless you want Dish network. Basic cable is $50/month. No pay channels or anything. No box or anything. Just basic cable. I know people Detroit way who about pay half that for the same services.

They are terrible. And I use to think that if you were having problems, where you could go through the Winter Protection Program, that it would be a little better, but actually it is worse! There are lots of people like myself, who is trying to establish credit, but when you have things like your utility bills on there that can mess u up, then that is a shame!

I cannot even begin to explain my trouble with DTE. I'm angry and I feel trapped. Where else am I going to get energy from without converting to solar power? And they are rude as hell.
