Beta radiations. These are equivalent to electrons. On emitting a Beta particle, the atomic number increases bu 1 and the atomic mass no. remains unchanged for the daughter atoms.

Beta radiations are electrons. Their mass is very low compared to nucleons but their charge is either -1 beta minus or +1 beta plus

If a beta minus is emitted Z increases by one unit

If a beta plus is emitted Z decreases by one unit
