got some virus that slows my laptop down

Go to http://www.mbusbyuk.info/links.html and click on the link for Panda ActiveScan (under free online virus and spyware scanners)
When you get to the site, select *Scan My Computer* (make sure you do a full system scan)
That should fix things because it cleans & disinfects anything it finds.

All of these are ones that I personally use and all are free.After you install any of them,make sure you update them to get the full affect.
