It was because they are misinformed and like to create defamation of the truth. You do remember when FOX reported that Mark Foley (R) was a Democrat all day long, but yet stood by their man with support.

I watched the whole video........wow.....I must say, I've never watched Keith Olbermann before, but now I really hate him.
Calling someone names for 7 minutes like "moron" doesn't substitute for a good argument. If he believed he caught Bill in the act of a lie, then that's all he had to say. Instead we get a pointless angry rant that does nothing but repulse any sane viewer.
Onto the question. I'm a moderate, but being a liberal I'm sure you'll be nice, open minded and tolerant of my opinions too, right?
This is grasping for straws to attack someone if I've ever seen it. It was a misstatement and nothing more. And if it were such an egregious error, then why didn't General Clark say something?
That's what really gets me. They spend a long time telling you how incredibly knowledgeable General Clark is about the military, yet he never corrects Bill. Doesn't that strike you as odd?
This is really pathetic. Such a weak attempt. Seriously, if you were really gunning so hard to attack Bill and Fox, there were much better places to look than that.
Oh, and BTW. Fox isn't a conservative news channel. They just lean the least to the left. They still lean to the left though.
Get the facts:

Well darn, I must not have gotten my World Evil Conservative Conspiracy news letter that explained why Bill O'Reilly made those Malmedy comments.
But as soon as the World Evil Conservative Conspiracy Union sends me a memo explaining why those comments were aired, I'll be sure to let you know.
Did you really think conservatives would try and justify O'Reilly's Malmedy comments , like liberals tried to justify Kerry's stupid Soldier comments ?
The media is clueless, just look at their past behavior.
CNN back in late 2001 and early 2002 had a supposed Retired Army Special Forces Lt. Col as an analyst, evidently they never checked his background or even ask to see his Retired Military ID, because it ended up, the guy had never even been in the Army before.
But I do find it hilarious watching the different news outlets attack each other , instead of reporting actual news.

Who in the media can you honestly trust? I don't think I have ever believed FOX or Bill have lied, but they sure are not my idea of conservative. As far as lying goes, couldn't it just be that they simply do not know the truth about whatever you are proposing without giving the instance of it?
FOX makes conservatives look stupid. I don't want to be stupid. So, I don't want to be associated with FOX. I watch it at times, but I know how to think for myself. I am more conservative than anyone I know. So, a news source like FOX is never going to impress me. I am so far right FOX is nothing more than another lefthanded cup of tea to me with their FOX and Friends and all their prime time shows.
Make it go away!

Fox News helped propagate the rumor that Barack Obama was a Muslim who was educated in a madrassa as well, despite the ample evidence to the contrary. O'Reily also regularly cuts the mics off from his guests that he doesn't agree with and also uses other shady tactics. Fox News is sensationalist tripe for the Jerry Springer watching crowd in the Bible belt. Don't even dignify it with your time.

Who appointed us to defend Bill O'Reilly? Ask them yourself if you're so interested. He's just a Rush Limbaugh of the TV, so get over it.

I'd appreciate it if I could get some brave liberals to stop spewing moveon.org propaganda here and ask serious questions.

Are you serious? Did you see the damn video? There was no lying. He made a pretty major blunder and did not apologize for it. As a conservative that bothers me, but there is no lying here. C'mon.............quit drinking so much haterade.
