It is fine any other time. When it snows, when it's warm or cold outside. Everytime it rains though I have trouble starting it. Now (it rained on Sunday) and I am unable to start the car. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
There is fuel, just put in a new battery about 7 months go, replaced spark plugs about a year ago, new brakes/new tires.

It sounds like it has a loose or cracked distributor cap. There is wire dryer spray you can get for that. Double check our cap, wipe it out and perhaps cover the cap with a boot to keep a moister barrier between it.

I had a dodge that did that to me. Perplexed the heck out of me till i figured it out.

All signs point to the distributor or the ignition coil.

While it may be a bit early for a coil to be going out, Toyota ignition coils are especially noted for being sensitive to moisture as they age.

None of these parts are particularly expensive or tough to replace.

I know you say you are unable to start the car, but is that true totally? If you really try, can you get it to start. And, if so, does it run roughly for bit, maybe 10-15 minutes or so?

If so, that would reinforce a moisture problem in the coil or distributor, because as the engine warms, it drives out the moisture and is "cured" until the next time around.

So, check distributor cap for cracks and moisture inside. And, if it passes, test the coil.

From past experience on my three "Toys," I'm betting coil.

It might be the coil packs in your DIS (Distributorless Ignition System) are getting wet due to a bad seal. Or your cam sensor might also be getting wet or shorting out. Your vehicle seems too new to have a distributor with a cap and rotor, but if it does that would be a good place to look too. No matter which way you look at it the moisture is messing with your ignition system.
