"planning for every eventuality, and sorting out issues such as these are crucially important."

with wording like EVENTUALITY coming from the isreali government we can say it is a forgone conclusion that they are going to attack. The U.S has 2 carrier groups and reports from british airbases is that refueling planes have been flying in and out of britian. The oil redistrubution bill has passed in Iraq, so now all the oil fields in Iraq are controlled by US companies. the next step is to take Iran's oil fields.

the main point of this article is israel doesn't want the US to shoot down planes.

"The only way to do this is to fly through US-controlled air space. If we don't sort these issues out now we could have a situation where American and Israeli war planes start shooting at each other," he added.

Do yourself a favor and start preparing for world war 3, it will spread to the US soil.

Good luck and God Bless you and your family.

Personally I believe that since Israel has been attacked so many times, they want to conduct recon missions over Iran to assist the U.S. in watching the borders into Iraq. As you've probably already heard, the coalition forces are cutting off the borders between Iraq and Iran completely in attempts to deter Iranians from supplying any more armament to the insurgents.

The report was correct about the White House continually stating we are not going into Iran to fight. That we cannot even attempt because we are short of materials and man-power as it is. Since congressional leaders are still hung up on these resolutions and several key senators are missing for any votes, they cannot move forward with much of anything. General Pace said that at this point it would be too dangerous to attempt to go forward with the plan that should have begun 2 weeks ago. Although some ground troops are heading in the right direction, they cannot complete their mission without the additional troops.

As far as them talking about 'anonymity' with informants, it probably Nancy Pelosi who is leaking the information. But who knows now. With a mission directive that is supposed to be 'secret' it seems this Israel newspaper knows an awful lot. I don't believe any U.S. Army or Marine Generals would leak this stuff to the press...I truly don't.

The whole article is fascinating. Of course this has happened before. A lot of arab nations are afraid of Iran and this seems to solve everyone's problems because Israel will still be no more or less their enemy when it's over.

Israel has the right to self defense.

Well I think that it will go down like a lead balloon at the next meeting of the United Arab League. Plus I wish somebody would tell me which one of the protagonist is leading the other, is it Israel or the US?

I would say Israel wants to be prepared to defend itself if it is attacked. The United States drawing up a bombing plan simply means that we have plan Z ready in case plan A, B, C, D, E, etc. fail. If diplomacy fails, war will occur and it is only prudent to be prepared for the worst.

i seriously hope **** doesn't really hit the fan because when it does it is going to be one badass war. we wont be able to support the war effort without some sort of draft. the country would flip out and we would really have to sort out what the hell we want our children's futures to resemble. china has oil interests in iran so they will not be quick to side with us when it all goes down. short work indeed but do we have the balls?

Iran's president has repeatedly announced his plans to wipe Israel off the map. We need to give Israel all the support that they need.

I say give em what ever they need.
The IDF is a fine fighting force and would make short work of Iran.
