Your becoming totally effaced!!!!!!
What it is: Dilation, the opening of the cervix (measured in centimeters), and effacement, the thinning of the cervix (measured in percentage), occur in a pregnant woman as labor and delivery get closer. The timing is different in every woman: For some, dilation and effacement is a gradual process that takes weeks, or even a month; others can dilate and efface overnight.

your getting close hun congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It means that your body is preparing to give birth. Progress at this stage is wonderful!

Usually your cervix is long and thick. Two things have to happen during labor to allow you to give birth. Your body has almost completed one of these steps, which is really good news. Your cervix has to thin, and it has to dialate. When it thins out, it's basically getting "shorter". Dialating is when he begins to open up to allow your baby to leave te womb.

You're very lucky! My body never made any progress until I was in labor! My last time around I had twins. I carried them the full nine months because my body won't progress, we had to MAKE all four of them come out.

Walking can help the process, but don't over do it, you don't want to exhaust yourself! Rest while you can, you'll need all your energy very soon!

Good luck and congrats!!!
