I'm looking for someone unique whos poems are very interesting. I'm looking for a poet who writes poems other than love.

How has no one mentioned Edgar Allen Poe? He's probably my most favorite poet. Try his poem "Annabel Lee." It's really amazing. Another poet is Emily Dickinson.

Check out Marge Piercy. She's my favorite and writes about so many other things than love. My favorite books of hers are The Moon Is Always Female and Early Grrrl. Good Reading!

Pablo Neruda is my favorite poet.

Jim McGarrah is brilliant, but not terribly well-known. "Bringing the Voodoo Down" is a collection about his life and particularly his time in Vietnam and its repercussions. Highly recommend him.
