there's lots you can do, especially if you've got someone who can drive. My boyfriend broke his leg so I drove everywhere, our activities hardly changed. Obviously we couldn't go trekking up mountains or anything, but we were able to go shopping, for meals, cinema...

The thing to remember is that wherever you 'walk' to on crutches, you gotta walk all the way back again so it's important to pace yourself. A handy bit of advice is to put pipe-insulation foam on the handles of your crutches (if they're handle ones as opposed to under the arm). It makes them that little bit more bearable.

I know crutches are a pain, but when I was on mine, I would walk alot, just to get out of the house. Just add more padding to the arms of your'e crutces.I know that it doesn't seem like much fun. But here's the thing, [KEEP YOUR"E CHIN UP &STAY POSITIVE] . Thats what I did to break the minonty of just sitting at home all the time. Go to the mall & do some window shopping. Thats what kept me going. GOOD LUCK.

Well it seems like you'll be sitting out the real physical activities for now. Play some games, go out to movies, things that give you oppertunitys to sit and relax but still enjoy yourself. First time on crutches??
