I think many of them have genuinely forgotten it.
The GOP mascot is the elephant. It is said that elephants never forget.
Nobody has ever lauded the memory of a jackass.

The democrat party didn't make a general consensus for the Iraq war. Some democrats did vote for it, however. Oh well.
Why don't the republicans own up to THEIR role? They're the ones that are in power and their President is the one who got this all started. And yet here he is giving a half-assed effort and leading our troops into waiting terrorists and hatred.
Blame the democrats for what's going on? That's a cowardly thing to do. Howabout you own up to how your party still doesn't have control of Iraq after their constant talk of how victory in Iraq is only visible from behind Bush.

I have been against the invasion of Iraq from the beginning. I am not a political pundit, I don't have a political background, and I don't call myself liberal, conservative, right-wing or left-wing. I vote my conscience. I have not voted for a sitting president in 12 years, but have always voted. I call myself a Democrat because I believe in Democracy. The American People are not being represented in the White House by anyone they truly voted for, because the people don't pick the president, the Electoral College does. How can we stand behind a voting record that does not represent us?

The president cherry-picked the information he gave Congress. For example, he let them know that an Iraqi defector named "Curveball" was reporting that Iraq had mobile factories located in big rigs to manufacture WMD's. Bush didn't tell them, though, that the Germans who were dealing with Curveball reported he was an unreliable alcoholic who probably shouldn't be trusted. It's hard to cast an accurate vote when you are being provided inaccurate information. Bush even knowingly lied in his State of the Union about what Iraq was doing. We are in Iraq because a handful of Republicans wanted us there. That's the reality. Face up to it, and stop whining.

Some of them do. John Edwards for example has come out and said he made a mistake in voting for it. He has taken responsibility for his vote. However the most important guy who needs to come out and own up to his mistake is our president.

Gee, I don't know. Could it be because they have eyes to see and ears to hear and know that they can't support this chaos any longer? Despite the evidence to the contrary from our President, it's actually a good thing to change your position when you find out the first one was wrong.

So much information has come out. It seems they're most at fault for not digging deeper and voting too quickly.
Besides there's little political advantage.

Well said, Annie.........I too have similiar views to you... I also do not consider myself a democrat or cons.... I just hate what this bush of (something) has done to your country...He is just awful.....
Why do bush supporters become so protective of this creep...You all need to start thinking for yourself, instead of having the media implant their crap into your brains....it's really silly to see the ignorance on such a large level.

Let me guess:
It was all our fault because we should of known the Republicans in the white house were with holding information. It was all our fault because we trusted the Republicans to be truthful.
Go blow a house page.
