I might be applying to Barnes & Noble, and help is wanted.....

For those who have already worked there, do they really care about unnaturally dued hair? I like to dye my hair red, blue, green, etc. so I'd like to know if this job will inhibit my dyes.....

(my hair is currently regular brown right now, btw)

Hey future bookseller,

The greatest thing about B&N is that it thrives on diversity. I've been a manager for B&N for almost 3 years and I can tell you that unnatural hair color is not a factor for hiring. We really look for experience and availibility on applications.

Granted, anyone will tell you appearances mean everything. So if you wanted to... dye your hair after the interview or go with something more natural. But I guarantee that it will not be the deciding factor for your employment offer.

Good luck and hope to see you as part of the B&N family soon.

I enjoyed Borders. i will make do with Barnes & Noble and Amazon, yet Borders became into continuously my popular. I did my area. i purchase loads of books, and till now they closed my Borders down, all of them have been from there. i do no longer think of petitions and issues like which would be very helpful in this occasion. this is a employer, no longer a regulation to get replaced or a reason that folk could desire to be recruited to. this is capitalism, and that's how capitalism works. some companies thrive and a few fail. it is in simple terms how this is. EDIT: @the mystical Quill/team Hedwig: You form of seem to hate electronics. once you're so against them, possibly you may desire to...oh...get off of the laptop? i'm fairly advantageous it is seen an digital gadget. For me, revealed books are king, yet ebooks have their reward besides, for a lot of human beings. Get down off your pedestal and supply up being overdramatic.

I would recommend applying with your brown hair... and when they interview you, go in brown hair. WHile at the interview, ask them then what their feelings are about unnaturally dyed hair.

Or, if you want the job more than you need the colored hair, wait until you've been hired to ask them how they feel about it. If they're ok with it, go for it. If not, thank them, and look forward to dyeing your hair on days off.
