Latent heat is the amount of heat absorbed or sometimes released by a substance changing the state its in.
For example, ice changing to water, at constant temperature and pressure. Another term for it is "heat of transformation".

"latent heat" is heat required to change the phase of a substance without changing its temperature.

That's two words. 'Latent Heat' is a term.
