Since you avoid giving any details about what occurs before the moment he becomes angry, I'm going to conclude it's because you feel or know that you contribute to it in some way. That's usually why people avoid a subject. So I suggest you stop doing whatever it is that you've been doing this past year that sets this off.

He doesn't sound like much of a partner. If you have no children together, neither of you have a formal commitment (marriage certificate) so either of you can just leave. The hurt is just as bad as getting a divorce, and you are not legally protected for the assets you bought and he claims. You'll probably loose some money, but you or he can just leave and don't look back. Maybe that's what he's trying to show you without telling you.

I would say he could be bi-polar but you say it's only been the last yr. so maybe he is too sure of you and has been getting away with this mistreatment too long. I believe in most relationships one person always loves more and therefore, holds most of the power. Take some of that power away from him. Next time he's mean to you walk out. Maybe you shouldn't even come back. You can do better.

Dump the loser. Life is too short for nonsense. If women would instantly refuse to accept shoddy and disrespectful behavior from men, the world would be a much better place.
Women, wake up! You control the destiny of the earth.
We men cannot live without your love, comfort and happiness.
Expect nothing less than the best.
You'll never get it otherwise.
Give him his walking papers.

my ex was the same way and still is to this day he had a psychiatric eval (court ordered) and come to find out he was manic depressive. i ahd to leave because he got violent and iont put up with that so my advice is if its worth it to u to try to save the marriage go to the courts if u have kids go to the social services with it they also can make him, if he refuses any of it then its not going to get better and ur best choice is to leave in my opinon cuz it wont change for the better he wont wake up one day all better itll only get worse the more u put up with it

I agree with #1 answer, and unless he is willing to go to counseling or something, he could be like bipolar or such or anything. Don't stand for it. You must be firm and not take it. The more you take, the more he will dish out. Please take care of yourself, even if it is only temporary, sometimes a temporary separation can bring a little reality to the other person. It isn't as hard as it sounds, been there done that.

More than likely, drug problem or another person. Either way, get out. Two years is not worth the hassle, especially if you've known him longer.
