I remember hearing it once but I've forgotten

I've heard them called "fitted sheets" , "bottom sheets", or "contour sheets". Are any of those what you remember?

The other one is the "top sheet", "flat sheet", or "bed sheet".

I'm going with um... Fitted Sheet....never heard it called anything else either.....are you sure you're thinking of a sheet and not say a Valance?

Non-technical: "the one with the elastic on the corners that's hard to fold neatly."
