Big brother more in your life and someone getting ahold of a copy of it.

It gets stored in a database. With a paper copy, there is only one copy. Once stored in a database, there is no telling who could get their handson it.

multiple users of the same computer, random passwords become as important as credit card numbers, I wouldn't use the internet for economic transactions.
