Drafting has a little bit of math in it - geometry. I loved it because it was about picturing things in 3-d, and building some of them. I took it in HS.
if you like making art with more colors and characters and such, go for animation instead.
If you know anything about the teachers - that can make a big difference. My drafting teacher was funny and chill, so it wasn't too high pressure.

Drafting is tough since it was made illegal after Vietnam. The key to a good draft is propaganda so get started early. Animation appeals to the masses so maybe get up on it to make propaganda more useful. The world is yours.
