Con... it gets stored in a database. With a paper copy, there is only one copy. Once stored in a database, there is no telling who could get their handson it.
Pro... less use of the national resource, paper.

pros: it saves paper, and it's faster than using regular mail if it's important.
cons: since it's electronic, a stranger could use the signature for something illegal.
