as a middle school student i kno the answer to this question.
yes, there will be bullying but its about stupid stuff, and stuff that can only get to u if u let it get to u. for example, this boy in my 8th period spanish class wuz being teased or "bullyed" because he was wearing the same pair of shorts the day b4. another example is that another boy is supper smart, of corse the guys get jealous of his report card and start making fun of him. its NEVER like the stuff u c on tv.

if u want some reasurance that ur child will not be bullied just tell him to wear a different pair of pants the next day and to tell him to hang around the smart students becuz tey kno better than 2 bully kids for stupid reasons. thats wut i do and i have never been bullyed. if he hangs around the stupid students he will be bulllied.

You must have some reason to believe he will be bullied. WAs he bullied in elem. ? I am a recently retired elem teacher and I know that middle school is the worst for this. I would strongly advise if it gets really bad to pull him out and homeschool or private school or another middle school. Middle school can scar for life.

as a highschooler, i can honestly say that bullying isnt as bad as it seems. i have a cousin who is a total wuss and i htought he was gonna be eaten alive in middle school, but he wasnt. instead he made a lot of friends (he had no friends in elementry)

middle school is the time for kids to find out who they really and and what their passion is. it also sets up their friends for highschool and maybe the rest of their lives.

but if your kid IS being bullied, then have a talk with him about who to hang out with and what to avoid. what to do if people confront him and try to bully him.

Classes in any of the martial arts. More for self-esteem and confidence than for actual use.
