I'm putting a new starter in but I dont remember where the wires go there's 3 and there the same color someone told me that the starter aint working cause I dont have my distributor cap on I think there rong I just need ta know what wires go where thanks?

look at the wire size...........1 large......1 medium.......1small......the 2 larger wire,s go to the large terminal on the solenoid switch.....in the center/top..............the small one go,s on the small terminal marked with a S .....for solenoid activation.........................no.....your distributor cap has nothing to do with this!

Usually on the left terminal. But it don't take but a few minutes to convert the starter relay wire to the opposite side. Make sure you have the alternator wire connected too.

hi, the big red wire goes to the big post on the starter solenoid, now the other 2 wires..... if one has a small eyelet goes to the "s" terminal on the solenoid (this is ignition power) hook up a test light & check for power on this wire in "crank" on your key.the other wire will go to the big post again on your starter solenoid.Good luck.
