well i had twins an when i was pregnant for them i got in a cleaning mood about 1 week before i had them an then when i got pregnant for my last child i stayed like that cleaning all the time so i just think it depends on the person because i know my sister had 4 kids an she started 1 week before she had each one

Ok, with my first i started getting the urge to finish all the home projects at about 36 weeks. I was digging out a pond at 38 weeks(stupid i know), but the urge to have it all finished was really strong. With my second i got a bit anally retentive about cleaning before i even knew i was pregnant. It really just depends on each pregnancy, everyones different. One woman i know has never nested thru her 3 pregnancies.

The 'nesting' instinct can be present, in one way or another, through the entire pregnancy. It's most conspicuous during the last few weeks of pregnancy, though. I remember obsessively going through my bag for the hospital to make sure I had all bases covered--much to my husband's amusement, because I hadn't been terribly domestic before then-- the last week before I went into labor.

Yeah I agree with the others. Nesting is apart of you, mentally and physically. I am 4 1/2 months with my second child and I am excited and want to start doing this and that now.

Congratulations, you're nesting.
It hits different people at different times. Some have it the entire way through pregnancy, others don't get it at all.
Congratulations on your so to be new edition. May I strongly recommend you add cleaning people to your baby registry. They are a life saver when you don't want to deal with it.

I think most generally, you get "nesting" syndrom when the realization hits you that your having a baby. I think mine started right around 16-20 weeks. congrats!!!
