First...if you hide from her you will look guilty. Just face her and see what she say's...if she know's you well enough she will know you didn't say it.

I would meet up with her in the morning if possible and let her know these "goofs" are going to say You talked bout her in the locker room when you brokeup...but it's not true* If she's a Friend..She will believe you over these other kids that are going to try to cause you trouble.

I would call her on the phone and tell her you are upset. I would tell her that these guys told you this crap and that it is not true and you are embarrassed about going to school. Talk to her, tell her the truth, tell your friends the truth, either way, show up in school with your chin up and a smile on your face, because the truth shall set you free and you have nothing to be ashamed about. This is a chapter in your life, are your going to show up with a smile on your face, or a frown that tells them the latter? Show these people you are not the person they think you are, you are a man and men deal with their problems. Take care Heather

If you really didn't say those things, ignore the gossip. Don't bring it up or even act as if you acknowledge that it was said unless she brings it up. Tell her the truth if she does. Don't make too much effort to prove your innocence. It makes you seem guilty or desperate. Just be straight with her. If you lose her anyway, know that it wasn't your fault and it's her loss.

You'll find that you can do a great many things with any kind of relationship with two key things:

1. confidence
2. honesty

More importantly, honesty. If you're sincere, then your friend will believe you. Plus, who should she believe, a friend or some random guys that are probably dumb liars anyway?

don't ever let anyone control your destiny if u really care about this girl u confront her first and tell her you heard and ugly rumor, things of witch is about her. and simply tell her if she hears it that you absolutely positively didn't say it and if she 's your friend she'll believe u and if she doesn't then u dont need her because she should know u better then that and let that be it.
