I only get corrupt file errors when i try to play video that ive converted and plays fine in my samsung t mobile phone. Have tried mpg4 and 3gp since the built-in camcorder records in 3gp.

The software on phones is not perfect. There will be bugs across makes, models and sometimes by phone. I suggest taking it back to the retailer and asking for a different phone. Try out your video's on that...if it doesn't work again, try using a different converter and see what happens.

Worst comes to worst, you can always watch your videos on your samsung...

Convert what you need to be converted on this program called PSPVIDEO9, its the only one that does it very well for free and usually 1 out of 10 become corrupt.
