Sure I would, but only if I were diving and not swimming or surfing. Remember, sharks don't like to eat or bite people. They generally only attack when they're confused and think that you're a seal or some other form of food. For the most part, when they see you underwater they could really care less about you. It's when you're at the surface and on a surfboard, then you really look like a blubbery seal from below. Can't blame them for getting a little confused...

Yes. Shark attacks are rare and can happen in any North American waters, even rivers (the bull sharks). I would just take the usual precautions in avoiding an attack: No jewelry, no splashing, swim with a buddy, don't swim with an open wound, never swim at night...no big deal.

I've actually done that before. I went scuba diving with sharks. I'm not talking about one or two sharks but a whole group of sharks. They were biting, but not at the people. They were being fed fish by the shark handlers.

Yes, I think growing up in Fl you just get used to hearing about it so much that it just doesn't affect you. Sharks only attack humans due to mistaken identity. The only things that keep me out of the water are lightning, and red-tide(it's an algae bloom that happens a couple times a year that kills fish and causes your eyes and throat to burn).

Sure, if I had a deathwish and I wanted to know what it's like to be bitten by a shark.

OOOOH! OOOOH! PICK ME!

Is it because you're a moron?

I mean, is it because everyone BUT you is a moron?

No, it's because it's not THAT much of a risk. And who would want to pass up a good swim out of fear? I'd take the risk. Get a life, reject.
