Yes... loads of them... most prefer not to interact with humans if possible though. There are TONS down here in Florida on The Gulf. Another tidbit.... Jaws was supposed to have taken place off of Shelter Island on Long Island, NY. Best way to avoid sharks... don't swim or wade at dawn or dusk... pay attention to sand bars and activity of bait fish if possible and enjoy water activities with a buddy or group of people.

Yes, is the answer. Mainly during the Summer. Sharks like very warm water, so they will migrate south during the colder months. They like to come down here in Florida, where I am. I know, I was still up there A year ago. (Oh whoa is me, oh whoa is me, oh whoa is meeeeeee!!!)

Yes a variety of species exist in those waters. Makos, great whites, basking sharks and dogfish sharks just to name a few.
